26th Annual Crystal Ball raises $1.1 million
Proceeds to support the construction of the new BC Children’s Hospital
November 30, 2012 - Vancouver, BC – Over 400 guests raised a net total of $1,125,013 at BC Children’s Hospital Foundation’s black-tie gala, the 26th annual Crystal Ball, presented by the Radcliffe Foundation, November 29 at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver. The money raised goes toward the foundation’s capital campaign, the Campaign for BC Children, which is supporting the construction of a new BC Children’s Hospital. Proceeds from the gala bring the total raised in the $200-million campaign to over $155 million. Diane Norton chaired the event for her fourth and final year, before handing the role to Arya Eshgi.
"The Crystal Ball is always a great party, but it’s the impact that the event has had on the quality of care our children receive that is really worth celebrating,” said Teri Nicholas, president and CEO of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. “Crystal Ball guests have joined with tens of thousands of other British Columbians in showing support for the construction of a new BC Children’s Hospital."
