Lindsey Lourenco's Champion Trip

We first introduced you to Lindsey Lourenco when we announced her as this year`s Champion Child for Children`s Miracle Network. Working as an ambassador for Children`s Miracle Network and BC Children`s Hospital, Lindsey left yesterday, October 14, on her Champions trip, sponsored by Walmart Canada, to Ottawa to meet up with the 11 other Champions from across Canada. After four full days touring our Capital, the Champions will all head down to Disneyworld to finish off their tour with a special day at the theme parks, and a medals ceremony with the rest of the North American Champion Children. Over the next couple days, Lindsey and I will keep you updated on the Champions trip. Some highlights include:
  • A Bon Voyage party, hosted by Walmart Canada to wish the champions well for their trip to Florida where they will meet the US Champions
  • A special concert by Avril Lavigne
  • A media lunch
  • A tour of Parliament Hill
  • And lastly, a special meet and greet with the Governor General on Tuesday.
