Communities for Kids
Although BC Children's Hospital is located in Vancouver, we serve families from more than 270 communities across BC. One way that communities outside of Metro Vancouver can show their support locally is through Community for Kids.
Communities for Kids are groups of volunteers who work as a committee within their community and in partnership with BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Their mandate is to raise awareness and funds within their own community. Fundraising initiatives includes both Foundation events, such as Festival of Trees, Jeans Day™ and independent community events, such as golf tournaments, gala dinners and silent auction evenings.
Current Communities for Kids in BC:
- Upper Fraser Valley
- Okanagan
- Prince George
- Vanderhoof
- Victoria
- Central Vancouver Island
- Sooke
- Port Alberni
There are opportunities to start new Communities for Kids in other regions, and also join existing committees. We are interested in hearing from you!
