Dinner and Auction Fundraising Evening for BC Children's Hospital
October 20, 2012
An evening out in Vanderhoof to celebrate and raise funds for BC Children's Hospital. Attendees will enjoy live music and a catered dinner at the Friendship Centre in Vanderhoof, while bidding on silent and live auction items donated by local businesses. One hundred per cent of the proceeds go to BC Children's Hospital.
Festival of Lights
December 7-22, 2012
Help light up Co-op Mall by purchasing tree light bulbs for $2, $5, $10, $20 or $50 amounts. Businesses are also encouraged to purchase a Christmas tree decoration for $75 to have your business name added to the display booth. Half of the proceeds go to BC Children's Hospital and half are donated to St. John Hospital in Vanderhoof.
Share the Green Radiothon
February 28, 2013
On Thursday, February 28 call in or stop by the Share the Green Radiothon broadcasting live on The Valley Wolf Radio and 94X Radio station to support the important work of BC Children's Hospital. Radiothon hours: 6 am until 6 pm with draws and door prizes announced throughout the day. Half of the proceeds go to BC Children's Hospital and half support St. John Hospital in Vanderhoof.

On Thursday, April 25 wear your heart on your jeans and support the 2013 Jeans Day™. By purchasing a $20 lapel pin or $5 collector's edition Jeans Day™ button and wearing denim to work or school, you support the important work being done at BC Children's Hospital. Vanderhoof Committee
Vanderhoof Community for Kids was established in 1992 by Jean Moutray and Christine Moutray, sisters-in-law who felt compelled to help the hospital that rehabilitated Jean's daughter, Helen, after she was critically injured in a car accident. Over the years the duo put on many fundraising events with the help of countless friends and volunteers in the community.
In 2010 Jean and Chris handed over the reins to Michelle Roberge and Corleen McNolty, both of whom are moms far too familiar with BC Children's Hospital. Michelle and Corleen, along with dedicated volunteers, plan to continue fundraising in Vanderhoof for BC Children's Hospital for years to come.
