Join us for the 25th anniversary of the Victoria Festival of Trees!

November 16, 2016 - January 5, 2017 at The Bay Centre and The Fairmont Empress

For the past 24 years the Festival of Trees has created a lush forest of beautifully decorated trees to raise much-needed funds for BC Children’s Hospital. The festival knits together the incredibly generous community of Victoria in what has become, over the last two decades, a cherished holiday tradition and the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season in the city.

Every year, the event’s sponsors, local businesses, organizations and individuals decorate trees in a creative and beautiful fashion. The festival invites visitors to browse through the holiday displays and donate to vote for their favourite trees. At the same time, the event offers sponsors an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate community leadership, show their creative talents and support child health. The event runs for six weeks over the holiday season and receives considerable coverage in print, TV and radio media.

This year is shaping up to be our best yet as we "branch" out across the city! For the first time ever we have two festival locations to enjoy: The Bay Centre and, returning out to our "roots", The Fairmont Empress!

Don't miss out on your chance to be involved in this historic year - download our2016 Tree Sponsorship Package and register your organization today.

As a tree sponsor of the festival, your tree will be enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of visitors from the community and as well as Victoria tourists. Last year more than 15,000 votes were cast and participants raised more than $138,000.

“I love seeing people’s faces light up as they tell you how they made their decorations. The Festival of Trees is a genuinely heart-warming event." - Jack Knox, 2015 Judge

How Does Your Tree Sponsorship Help BC’s Kids?

All funds raised through the 2016 Festival of Trees will support the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which supports important programs and services provided by BC Children’s Hospital, its research institute and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. Your contribution will support the areas of greatest need in each of these facilities, including specialized research into childhood diseases, the purchase of and/or upgrading to state-of-the-art medical equipment, and education programs for caregivers and families.

Join us in giving our children the best chance of a healthy future.

Be a part of the magic!

There would be no Festival of Trees without our amazing volunteers who come together to put up, and take down all trees. Contact Danielle Fullwood at for more information.

Congratulations to our 2015 winners:

    Spirit of Giving

Playsted Sheet Metal with an outstanding $10,500 Donation!

This year, funds raised through the Spirit of Giving will purchase new Holter Monitors for the Cardiology Program at BC Children's Hospital.

Thank you goes out to everyone who participated and also helped us raise over $23,000 in monetary, gift cards, and toy donations!

The Spirit of Giving category was introduced to encourage fundraising and acknowledge efforts made by the passionate teams who work year-round to raise funds to present as bribes. Over the years, however, this category has become so much more; it's evolved into a philanthropic movement that inspires change, and brings us together to improve the healthcare provided to kids in BC.
