A message from the chair, Dan Whalley

As the province’s children grow, and as the practice of medicine evolves, we must continue to adapt to the changes in care that are making surgeries safer, treatments better and, ultimately, enabling caregivers to save more lives. To allow BC Children’s Hospital to keep pace with this change, we have to rely on the support and advocacy of our volunteers to help raise urgently needed funds for the hospital.

A new and exciting time is upon us as we start to plan our 2016-2017 Miracle Weekend campaign. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Miracle Weekend and for more than 30 years, Miracle weekend has been perfect example of how dedicated volunteers like you come together, working tirelessly to help maintain the ongoing support that gives children at the hospital and across the province the specialized care they require, whenever they need it.

Thank you for being part of Miracle Weekend and for the tremendous commitment of time and effort on your part; as dedicated volunteers you are helping BC Children’s Hospital build strong connections to families, donors and corporations in our communities.

Thank you again for all that you do.  I look forward to meeting with you through the year ahead and to celebrating our success together on June 3-4, 2017.
