Supporting the Hospital
Funds raised through the 2013 Chinese-Canadian Miracle Weekend will go towards the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which supports the critical health needs of children in BC today by contributing to the essential services, research and advanced technology necessary to make leading pediatric care available at the hospital. This fund allows BC Children's Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the Child & Family Research Institute to determine their needs on an annual priority basis so they can distribute resources where they are needed the most.
By supporting the Excellence in Child Health Fund, you are ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. Gifts to the Excellence in Child Health Fund support three major areas:
- Research;
- Equipment purchases and upgrades;
- Education and programs.
With the culmination of months of efforts by the caring members of the Chinese-Canadian community the Chinese-Canadian Miracle Weekend successfully raised $1,025,602 for BC Children's Hospital in 2012.
