Fundraising Ideas
Here are some great ideas on how to make your Jeans Day™ fundraising a success:
- Make it your own! No one says there are any rules!
- If you wear jeans on a regular basis, this will be time to get creative. Why not celebrate by hosting a:
- Hat Day
- Black Tie Day
- Denim Yearbook Day- have everyone sign each other's jeans like they are a year book
- Denim Fashion Show
- Bake Sale
- BBQ or Picnic
- "Like" our Facebook Page so that it directly links to your page and your friends know what you are up too. We love sharing stories from our online community
- Internal communication: celebrate your involvement and promote sales by announcing the campaign and goals. Do this using:
- Email blasts
- Newsletters
- Staff meeting announcements
- Posters
- Remind participants this is for the kids! Use the patient visit statistics in your Jeans Day™ communications or create a goal (i.e. sell one lapel pin or button for every patient visit from your community/region).
- Develop a lapel pin strategy. Offer people the chance to wear their denim all week, for the price of 4 buttons!
- Offer incentives for participation:
- All participants are entered in a draw for lunch with the boss or teacher
- Anyone who purchases a lapel pin is entered in a draw to win the boss’s parking spot for a week
- Do some investigation. Perhaps your organization is interested and able to match funds the employees raise.
- Remember it is your day! Customize it for your group and have fun!
