Each year, hundreds of caring individuals and groups raise money for BC Children's Hospital in their own creative way by hosting Independent Community Events. These events include everything from bake sales to golf tournaments to shaved head challenges. Are you ready to organize your own fundraising event for BC Children's Hospital? All it takes is a little creativity, some careful planning, and the desire to make a difference in the lives of BC kids.
| Step 1: | Download our Fundraising Handbook. This will give you an idea of all that's involved in organizing an event and help you decide if it's right for you. If you are thinking of organizing a charitable golf tournament, we have designed a specific handbook for you. |

| Step 3: | Set a goal of how much you hope to raise. |
| Step 4: | Recruit a Fundraising Coordinator. |
| Step 5: | Plan your fundraising strategy. Make a prospect list - family, friends, clients and customers, include all possibilities. |

| Step 7: | Get out there and do it! |
| Step 8: | Inspire competition! Promote your goal, raise awareness and connect with your community in a meaningful and fun way. |
