Miracle Weekend

The 22nd annual Miracle Weekend, hosted by Global BC TV on June 6-7, surpassed its fundraising goal and raised $15,316,687 for the urgent needs of BC Children's Hospital.

The Miracle Weekend is the culmination of fundraising efforts throughout the year by literally hundreds of diverse groups. Events include everything from school fundraisers to golf tournaments to black-tie galas. The hospital receives support from employee groups in financial services, retail, mining, technology, professional associations, construction and real estate, hospitality and restaurants, forestry and others, and members of Children’s Hospital’s employee family.

Fundraising ideas for your workplace or community include:

Employee Donations – utilize a payroll deduction program, fundraise at your company events, or join in on Children’s Hospital Foundation events such as Jeans Day™, Slo-Pitch and HSBC Childrun;
Customer Donations – sell Foundation products such as pins or other logo-branded items, or involve your customers by creating your own special fundraising program;
Corporate Donations – show your support by providing a corporate match for your staff or customer giving campaign;
Community Groups – your community organization or service club can get involved in our Jeans Day™, Slo-Pitch or HSBC Childrun events, or you can hold your own special fundraising event.

Use of Funds

Donations raised through Miracle Weekend benefit the Excellence in Child Health Fund, supporting the urgent needs of the Hospital including new equipment, clinical care, research, and educational programs. However, the need continues. Plans are underway to build a new Children’s Hospital on the current site. This hospital will be a state-of-the-art facility that will help BC's children and their families well into the future.
