Supporters of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, including organizations such as yours, are committed to putting smiles back where they belong. Volunteers and donors from many of BC's leading energy industry companies are helping do just that. To date, the energy industry within the province has raised over $2.5 million for BC's sick and injured kids.
Most recently, more than 18 different power producers and consultants joined forces to raised over $78,000 through the 10th annual Paddle for Kids dragon boat event. On Sunday, September 7, teams participated in on-water races, off-water games, and had much fun in the sun. As the industry's signature event for BC kids, Paddle for Kids brought a variety of energy companies in support of children from every corner of our province. For more information on this fun-filled event, please check out the event website at www.paddleforkids.org.
BC’s leading energy companies are currently re-establishing the Energy Committee, which fundraises for BC Children's Hospital's Miracle Weekend. Chaired by Mark Rogers of Natural Power Consultants, the committee will fundraise through Foundation events such Jeans Day™, HSBC Childrun, and their signature event, Paddle for Kids.
Though we recognize that business responsibilities take precedence, we also recognize the need for business to give back to the community in a tangible way. Energy Committee members will donate both their time and money in support of BC Children's Hospital and the one million children across the province. We hope that Energy Committee members enjoy their involvement and feel they are making a difference.
If you want to team up with other committed members of the energy industry to support BC Children’s Hospital, we want to talk to you! For further information on the Hospital and how you can get involved, please contact Amanda Sayfy at 604-875-2545 or asayfy@bcchf.ca.
