Vancouver, BC - November 25, 2011 - The Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and the upper lobby of Pacific Centre are aglow with BC Children's Hospital Foundation's 25th annual Festival of Trees, presented by Union Securities Ltd. This holiday event runs to January 4, 2012 to raise funds for BC Children's Hospital.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Festival of Trees is open to the public and features a spectacle of over 40 lavishly decorated trees, sponsored by community groups, individuals and organizations. Adorned with almost 17,000 LED light bulbs, the trees promise to delight the child in all of us. Visitors are encouraged to cast their ballot, by donation, to vote for their favourite tree, as well as enter a draw to win one of three fabulous prizes - a trip for two from WestJet, a one-week Atlantis Programs swim camp and a one-week Pedalheads Bike Camp.

This year The Bachelorette star and Vancouver interior designer Jillian Harris, is putting her creative talents to the test by decorating a tree that will later be put up for auction at the Crystal Ball, BC Children's Hospital Foundation's premier fundraising gala. Jillian's tree is on display at the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel's Yew Restaurant and Bar from November 23 to December 1.

In the past 24 years, the Festival of Trees has raised over $2.5 million for BC Children's Hospital. Funds raised from this year's event will go to the Campaign for BC Children, supporting the construction of a new BC Children's Hospital, the relocation of childhood development and rehabilitation services from Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children to the hospital's Oak Street site, and Child Health BC, a BC Children's Hospital initiative that is improving access to pediatric care throughout the province.

Information on Festival of Trees events in Vancouver, Victoria and Port Alberni, is available at www.bcchf.ca/festivaloftrees.
