Vancouver, BC - November 21, 2011 - BC Children's Hospital patients will gather to decorate a Christmas tree November 23 in preparation for the launch of BC Children's Hospital Foundation's 25th annual Festival of Trees at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and upper lobby of Pacific Centre Mall. Festival of Trees, presented by Union Securities Ltd., runs from November 23, 2011 to January 4, 2012 and offers a visual treat for the whole family.

Where: Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver
What: Children decorating the Red Robin tree, surrounded by colourful display of 46 other trees decorated by community groups, individuals and organizations.
Who: Meet BC Children's Hospital patients as they decorate the Red Robin tree, as well as other corporate and community groups who will be decorating their own sponsored trees. BC Children's Hospital Foundation spokesperson will be available for interviews.
This year The Bachelorette star and Vancouver interior designer Jillian Harris is putting her creative talents to the test by decorating a tree that will later be put up for auction. Her tree will be on display at the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel's Yew Restaurant and Bar from November 23 to December 1.
In the past 24 years, the Festival of Trees has raised over $2.5 million for BC Children's Hospital. Funds raised from this year's event will go toward the Campaign for BC Children, supporting the construction of a new BC Children's Hospital, the relocation of childhood development and rehabilitation services from Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children to the hospital's Oak Street site, and Child Health BC, a BC Children's Hospital initiative that is improving access to pediatric care throughout the province.
