FOR CHILDREN WE CARE
The 21st annual For Children We Care gala takes place Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver. This black-tie event will attract 500 guests to celebrate the Chinese-Canadian community’s support for child health. Proceeds will support the Children’s Healing Environment Project for the new BC Children’s Hospital. Visit www.bcchf.ca/fcwc.
FESTIVAL OF TREES
Now in its 29th year, the Vancouver Festival of Trees will kick off at the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Pacific Centre on November 13, 2015. The decorated trees will be on display in their full glory until January 4, 2016. Support BC Children’s Hospital by making a donation and voting for your favourite tree in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel or text WISH to 41010 to donate $5 and cast your vote with your mobile device.
Due to renovations at The Fairmont Empress, the festival will be relocating to another high-profile, historic venue – The Bay Centre. Make sure to vote for your favourite tree and visit the festival on Level 3, at “Sunny’s Workshop,” to learn more about how you can get involved and the difference it will make in the community.
Not in Vancouver or Victoria? Visit our other festivals in Nanaimo, Sooke and Osoyoos. Visit www.bcchf.ca/fot for more information.
