Slo-Pitch
Don’t miss this popular corporate team-building event taking place May 22-24 at Softball City in South Surrey. With support from more than 1,000 participants, donors, volunteers and sponsors annually, the Slo-Pitch event has raised more than $8.5 million over the past 24 years to help fund BC Children’s Hospital’s most urgent needs. ChildRun
Register today for the 30th annual ChildRun. As the largest family fun run in Vancouver, ChildRun inspires participants to raise funds for childhood cancer research and treatment at BC Children’s Hospital. On Sunday, May 31, ChildRun will host runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. Participants can choose between a scenic five-kilometre route through Queen Elizabeth Park or a one-kilometre fun run, followed by a carnival celebration. Chinese-Canadian Miracle Weekend
Drawing upon the support of the Chinese-Canadian community, the Chinese-Canadian Miracle Weekend is a multimedia event that coincides with BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend on Global BC and airs on Fairchild Television, CHMB AM1320 and Fairchild Radio AM1470. This year, fundraising events will wrap up on May 30 with a telethon and two radiothons featuring patient stories, live interviews and community fundraising highlights. Organizers invite the community to participate in charity sales and other activities to support the most urgent health needs of BC’s children.

Balding for Dollars – Main Event
Mark your calendars for the 16th annual Balding for Dollars, Saturday, May 23 from 11 am to 4 pm at the Child & Family Research Institute at BC Children’s Hospital. Registration is open and online fundraising pages are available now for those brave enough to cut or shave their hair in support of children with cancer and blood disorders.

Miracle Marathon
Regular exercise is good for the body; it’s also great for the soul. Move toward a healthy lifestyle in 2015 with the annual Miracle Marathon. Join as an individual or start a team with friends and commit to moving just one mile (1.6 km) a day for 27 days (the distance of a marathon, plus one mile), September 1-27. Funds raised through this Children’s Miracle Network initiative benefit BC Children’s Hospital.

Sunny Bear Birthday Club
Last year more than 250 youngsters earned membership in the Sunny Bear Birthday Club by asking friends and family to donate to BC Children’s Hospital as part of their birthday celebrations. Members receive a special thank-you in the mail from Sunny Bear and a certificate of thanks when they drop off their donations. Do you have a birthday coming up? A wedding celebrates the promise of a great future, and supporting BC Children’s Hospital as part of your celebration helps to safeguard the future of BC’s children. Mortgage Broker Giving Program
The Mortgage Broker Giving Program provides an opportunity for mortgage brokers and specialists to support BC Children’s Hospital by donating a portion of their commission from each closing transaction. There are many benefits to those enrolled in the program. BC Children’s Hospital Foundation sends clients an acknowledgment letter informing them that a donation has been made on their behalf, as well as tax receipts.
