Festival of Trees: Celebrate the season
'Tis the season for beautifully decorated trees and sparkling ornaments! Set in the hallways of the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and Pacific Centre, the 29th annual Festival of Trees Vancouver is a must-see holiday tradition. Last year alone, this seasonal event raised over $147,600 in support of the most urgent needs at BC Children’s Hospital.
Here's how to make the most of this year's Festival of Trees Vancouver:
Experience the magic
The event is open to the public from November 13, 2015 to January 5, 2016, seven days a week, until 11:00pm. There is no admission cost, but we do suggest a minimum $2.00 donation to vote for your favourite tree.
Honour a loved one
We’re offering you a special opportunity to recognize a special individual in your life. Until December 18, when you make a gift online in honour or in memory of someone, we’ll display your loved one’s name with one of our beautiful BC Children’s Hospital Foundation ornaments on the WISH Tree at our Vancouver Festival of Trees event. We’ll also send a card to the honouree or next of kin to let them know about your thoughtful gift.
Cast a vote
As you wander through the enchanting forest of brilliantly decorated trees and celebrate the season of giving, cast a ballot for your favourite tree by making a donation in the lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel or text WISH to 41010 to give $5 and cast your vote with your phone. The People's Choice award will be decided by received votes, and announced at the end of the Festival, in January.
Best of all, you could win a trip for two courtesy of WestJet! All votes, whether you make a donation or not, will be entered to win. See all the contest details.
Change a life
All funds raised through the 2015 Festival of Trees will go toward the Excellence in Child Health Fund, supporting kids like Festival of Trees champion, Taylin McGill.
The Excellence in Child Health Fund is critical to the programs and services provided by BC Children’s Hospital, Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children and the Child & Family Research Institute. Your contribution supports the areas of greatest need in each of these three organizations, including research into childhood diseases, the purchase of and/or upgrading to state-of-the-art medical equipment and education programs for caregivers and families.
Join us in giving BC’s children their best chance of a healthy future.
