Employee Experience

BC Children’s Hospital Foundation employees have helped to create a work environment in which there is laughter, passion and pride. It is a place where people are respected, appreciated and recognized for their individual and team efforts. We see our employees as our most valuable resource, and we work hard to ensure that employees continue to work in a safe and positive environment.

Professional Development

We believe in building lasting relationships with donors, volunteers and our community. We hold the same belief when it comes to our employees.

Our employees do an outstanding job today and they continue to develop their knowledge, skills and abilities to grow into progressively greater roles. We support them through our commitment to professional development, providing educational and/or experiential opportunities, and financial assistance for professional memberships and designations.

Total Compensation

We take pride in our focus on building a dynamic, team-oriented work environment. In addition to a nine-day fortnight work schedule and a commitment to professional development, we provide our employees with meaningful work, opportunities for advancement and a comprehensive compensation package based on a healthy work-life balance.

Employee Events & Activities

Our employees are dedicated and hardworking, but they also know how to have fun. From informal recognition events such as themed lunches and Sunny Bear dance-off competitions to our corporate annual employee recognition event, we take time to celebrate our employees' successes. Employees may also choose to participate in the foundation's Green Team and Super Fun Committee.
