Although BC Children's Hospital is located in Vancouver, we serve families from more than 270 communities across BC, including those on Vancouver Island.
Every year approximately 2,700 kids from Vancouver Island make 7,900 total visits to BC Children’s Hospital for specialized care they can’t get anywhere else. That’s nearly 22 visits per day from the Island.
Support from the Vancouver Island community helps ensure those kids get the best care possible when they’re here. Generous individuals and businesses donate and participate in events like Festival of Trees, and host their own fundraisers, like golf tournaments, gala dinners and silent auctions.
There are plenty of ways to get involved in supporting BC Children’s Hospital as a member of the Vancouver Island community.
Festival of Trees Victoria (annually beginning in November and lasting 6 weeks)
As event sponsors, local businesses, community organizations and individuals have the honour of transforming The Bay Centre in Victoria into a lush forest of brilliantly decorated trees, all is in support of BC Children’s Hospital. Learn more here: Victoria Festival of Trees

Every May, Ocean 98.5 supports BC Children’s Hospital by telling stories of local patients and their families, and their journey through treatment at BC Children’s Hospital. Listeners are encouraged to call in and become a monthly donor, and local businesses can sponsor each day of the week.
Community-run events make up a large portion of the funds that support BC Children's Hospital urgent needs every year. With support from the Vancouver Island office, plan a FUNdraiser that brings together your community, friends and family to raise funds for the only pediatric hospital in British Columbia.
