Celebrate the magic of the 2017 Holiday Season and help raise funds and awareness for BC Children’s Hospital through 26th annual Victoria Festival of Trees.

November 15, 2017 - January 2, 2018

The Victoria Festival of Trees, held exclusively at The Bay Centre this year, has become a cherished holiday tradition and the unofficial kick-off to the holiday season in the city. Join us for the 26th anniversary event, vote for your favourite tree, and support kids from your community who need the support and care only BC Children's Hospital can provide.

Sponsor a tree

For the past 25 years the Festival of Trees has helped organizations engage with thousands of their customers and supporters during the holiday season, showcase their community spirit, and support sick kids across BC.

Benefits of sponsoring the Victoria Festival of Trees include:

  • Association with one of the top 10 brands in BC for brand awareness and character (Based on a Brand Reputation Insights 2016 survey);
  • Increased brand awareness: Seven weeks of brand exposure to the over 650,000 visitors to The Bay Centre over the holiday season. Downtown Victoria’s daytime population increases by 52 per cent to 141,214, including 101,152 daytime workers;
  • Increased goodwill by the excellent care provided by BC Children's to children in times of crisis.

Bringing your brand to life and support a cause your customers care about. View the 2017 Sponsorship Package or contact Danielle Fullwood at dfullwood@bcchf.ca for more information.

“I love seeing people’s faces light up as they tell you how they made their decorations. The Festival of Trees is a genuinely heart-warming event." - Jack Knox, 2015 Judge

On average, two kids from Victoria are treated at BC Children's Hospital each day.

All funds raised through the 2017 Festival of Trees support the Excellence in Child Health Fund, which supports important programs and services provided by BC Children’s Hospital, its research institute and Sunny Hill Health Centre for Children. Your contribution supports the areas of greatest need in each of these facilities, including specialized research into childhood diseases, the purchase of and/or upgrading to state-of-the-art medical equipment, and education programs for caregivers and families.

Meet Rowan, the 2017 Festival of Trees Champion child. Rowan is one of an average 2,600 children from Vancouver Island who are treated at BC Children's Hospital each year.

Congratulations to our 2016 winners:

Spirit of Giving

The Spirit of Giving category was introduced to encourage fundraising and acknowledge efforts made by the passionate teams who work year-round to raise funds to present as bribes. Over the years, however, this category has become so much more; it has evolved into a philanthropic movement that inspires change, and brings us together to improve the healthcare provided to kids in BC.

The Bay Centre with an outstanding $5,000 donation!

This year, funds raised through the Spirit of Giving will purchase new Activated Clotting Time Machines for the Cardiology Program at BC Children's Hospital.

Thank you goes out to everyone who participated and also helped us raise over $18,000 in monetary, gift cards, and toy donations!
