An Innovator stands at the forefront of emerging philanthropy, embodying the spirit of innovation, with a deep passion for the transformational potential of pediatric research and medical care. As the next generation of philanthropists in BC, Innovators seek to fund ideas and projects that will generate exciting breakthroughs, accelerate medical discoveries and bring new, innovative treatments and care to kids. Innovators understand that our needs are mighty, and are committed to helping little fight big.

The next generation of philanthropic leaders in BC, Innovators are invited to participate in up to four exclusive events per year, designed to fuel familiarity and connection with the work of BC Children’s Hospital and Research Institute. Throughout the year, Innovators will connect with thought-leaders, hospital experts and fellow philanthropists at a series of curated events. These culminate in a final event of the year where Innovators have the opportunity to vote on what area the annual Innovators funding will support. Innovators are ambassadors for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in their communities and help make us mighty.

Innovators may join the program as individuals, or as a household with a commitment of $10,000 over two years, payable in full or in payments of $5,000 per year. Each Innovator (or household) will receive one vote to select the annual funding area. The full amount of the Innovators commitment will be eligible for a tax receipt.

Each year, Innovators will be invited to participate in up to four unique events, designed to educate, inspire and ultimately equip them with information that will allow them to vote on a funding area of choice. These events are designed to help fuel meaningful connections with fellow Innovators, create opportunities for conversation with world-class hospital researchers and clinicians, and bring Innovators behind the scenes of BC’s only hospital dedicated exclusively to the care of kids.

Events will be hosted at unique venues, including opportunities to see our experts’ work first-hand. Innovators will also have the chance to network with other like-minded individuals in cocktail-style gatherings.

At the final event of the year, they will vote on what Innovators funding will support for that year and will have the opportunity tmeet the experts themselves who will be carrying out that work.

Above and beyond attendance at exclusive annual events, Innovators are ambassadors for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation in their personal and professional communities. Although there is no formal time commitment, we are pleased to work with you to provide resources and support as you build support for Innovators within your network!

As an Innovator, you are part of a lasting legacy that has tangible impact on the health of BC’s kids and BC Children’s Hospital for decades to come. By voting on the specific project to fund, you will know exactly what you are supporting, and the impact it will have. Through annual event series, you will have opportunities to connect with fellow philanthropists, hospital experts and a diverse group of business executives and thought-leaders.
