32nd annual Miracle Weekend raised a record-breaking $21,611,898 for BC’s kids
Tonight, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation announces that a record-breaking $21,611,898 was raised for BC Children’s Hospital during the 32nd annual Miracle Weekend, hosted by Global BC on June 1 and 2.
“Miracle Weekend is a powerful testament to the generosity of British Columbians and what we can achieve when we work together to support child health in the province,” says Jeff Hanman, 2019 Miracle Weekend chair. “Thank you to all of the donors and to the many volunteers who made this tremendous fundraising event possible.”
Miracle Weekend is the culmination of fundraising efforts throughout the year by hundreds of individual donors and groups, including corporations, schools and communities. Funds raised for Miracle Weekend include support from the weekend broadcast on Global BC, and annual signature events such as Jeans Day and RBC Race for the Kids. This year also marked the 31st year for the annual Chinese-Canadian Miracle Weekend, which was broadcast on May 31 and June 1 on Fairchild TV, Fairchild Radio and CHMB AM1320.
