Canucks for Kids Fund
On March 14, 2011, the Canucks for Kids Fund announced a gift of $5 million to support the Campaign for BC Children and the Diabetes Research Laboratory at the Child & Family Research Institute at Children's Hospital.
The Vancouver Canucks have been longstanding supporters of BC Children's. Players make regular visits to the hospital and have even been seen playing 'hallway hockey' with patients.
In addition to the recent gift, the Canucks for Kids Fund has granted more than $1.3 million to the hospital to build the Canucks Playroom and to support numerous programs and research over the years. Individual players have also made personal gifts to the campaign and help to promote province-wide fundraising events like Jeans Day every year.
In addition to team gifts, many members of the Canucks have supported the hospital on a personal level. Learn more about the recent gift from Daniel and Henrik Sedin.
